It's been said many times, many ways...

Merry Christmas!

Christmas came and went way too fast!
It was wonderful though. This Christmas wasn't
much different from the past years, except for a
couple things.

The whole Culler side of the family got
together at Aunt Debbie's and Uncle
Kevin's house for our traditional Christmas eve.

First we ate a yummy dinner

Then we had our devotional.
The only thing different about Christmas
eve is that we didn't go to the Church for our
devotional. When My mom told me this I was a
little bit sad. It was our family tradition and we were
breaking it(Granted I didn't really enjoy going
to the Church when I was younger).  I think because
our family is growing so big, it is becoming a
hassle to load everyone up and go to the church.
It was still a wonderful devotional though. The kids
did the manger scene for us and it was completely
 chaotic.

[My Grandpa built the manger]

All the little kids crowded over "baby Jesus" and
were running around. It was quite entertaining, but
there was also a wonderful sprit to it. I'm sure it wasn't
quite this chaotic, but I know that everyone  wanted to
see Jesus and I'm sure they crowded around to
look at him (probably not sticking their hands in His
face though). So seeing the kids crowding around, eager
to see "baby Jesus" was very touching.

Then it was time for the gag gifts. One of the personal
favorites. When I was younger, the gifts really use
to be "gaggy". Lately, they have been getting less
"gaggy" and more exciting-- things that you really
want to fight over.

Other pictures from the night

Christmas landed on a Sunday, so we went
to church at 9 for only an hour. After Church
we headed home for a little bit and then back
to my aunt and uncle's house for brunch.
After brunch, we went back home and took a
nap until it was time for my brother and sister
and their families to come over to open gifts.
We ended up opening gifts at 5. It was a
little bit strange opening up gifts that late.

I always enjoy Christmas, but for some
reason I felt like I enjoyed it a lot more then
usual. I listened to Christmas music all month
(which I never do) and really enjoyed the
spirit of Christmas. I think that as I continue
to grow closer to my Savior, that Christmas is
becoming more and more meaningful to me.
